Who can receive home care services?

Our services are available to adults and seniors who need help managing daily tasks, recovering from illness or surgery, or maintaining their health safely at home. We also support individuals with chronic conditions, disabilities, or those transitioning from hospital or rehab settings.

3

What is the difference between skilled nursing and personal care?

Skilled nursing involves clinical care provided by registered or licensed nurses — such as wound care, medication administration, or chronic disease management.
Personal care focuses on daily living assistance — like bathing, dressing, and mobility support — provided by trained Personal Care Aides under RN supervision.

4

Are your caregivers trained and licensed?

Yes. All Phoenix caregivers are carefully screened, background-checked, and trained in accordance with Maryland Department of Health regulations. Our nurses and aides maintain current state licensure or certification, complete ongoing competency training, and receive supervision by an RN.

5

How soon can services begin?

We can often initiate care within 24–48 hours of assessment, depending on the level of care required. Our intake team will coordinate all details to ensure a smooth and timely start.

6

How will I pay for these services?

Phoenix Home Care offers several payment options to make care as accessible and stress-free as possible. We accept Maryland Medicaid, certain private insurance plans, Long-Term Care insurance, Veterans’ benefits, and private pay arrangements. During your intake process, our team will review your coverage, explain eligibility requirements, and help you determine the best payment option for your situation. We can also provide documentation for long-term care insurance reimbursement if applicable.
